Evans Home Economics for Junior Secondary Schools Books 1-3  are a series designed in line with the new Pre-vocational Studies Curriculum introduced by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC). It is a series of three books carefully written for the Upper Basic Education (Junior Secondary 1-3)
students of Home Economics.
The series is comprehensively designed to provide students with saleable skills, knowledge, and attitudes in various aspects of life. It provides numerous opportunities in the field of Home Economics, Home Management, Foods and Nutrition, Child Care, Clothing and Textiles, and Sewing Techniques. It is successfully written in three books to cover the curriculum for each year. It is well illustrated with relevant pictures and diagrams to make learning easy and interesting. The themes, the topics and the contents are treated in simple English, and the objectives for each topic are adequately highlighted with numerous advantages.
Each book is written along with a workbook which contains lots of exercises, objectives, essay questions and activities to help students understand the contents of the textbook.
